February 5, 2020, Kuala Lumpur – Hino Motor Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, the official distributor for Hino commercial vehicles in Malaysia, has achieved another milestone by delivering the 100,000th unit Hino truck to its existing customer, Ikhasas Resources Sdn Bhd.
An official handover ceremony was held during the Hino Chinese New Year Open House which took place at HIno Motor Sales Malaysia headquarter in Petaling Jaya.
“Since our establishment in Malaysia in 1977, Hino Motor Sales Malaysia has grown and reached the accumulated sales of 100,000 units. We are motivated to know that we have stood as part of the logistics and distribution industry in Malaysia to deliver the goods with our passion ‘Transporting Every Happiness’. Thank you to all our esteemed customers for the continuous support and trust with th Hino brand,” said its managing director Atsushi Uchiyama in a statement.
To celebrate the 100,000th vehicle sales, Atsushi presented an appreciation reward – a Japan Trip for two, plus the opportunity to visit Hino Motors Ltd to Ikhasas Resources director Datuk Roslan Zainal.
The 100,000th unit truck is a Hino 500 Series- model FM2PN1D, with drive configuration 6×4, the ideal medium-heavy duty truck for operators.

According to a data released by Malaysian Automotive Association on the overall sales performance according to brand for 2019, the company has ranked first position in the overall truck and holds a market share of 37 percent in Malaysia.
In the bus segment, Hino Motor Sales Malaysia dominated more than half of the market share in Malaysia with 61.9 percent. The company has achieved sales of 5,520 units sold with the market share of 38.1 percent which took the top position in the overall truck and bus segment.
