The Mazda CX-30 Is Here

January 15, 2020, Subang Jaya – Bermaz Motor Sdn Bhd, the official distributor of Mazda vehicles in Malaysia, has launched the 2020 all-new Mazda CX-30 nearly two months after it was opened for booking.

The CX-30 was opened for bookings on November 19, last year, with three variants options – Mazda CX-30 SkyActiv-G 2.0L 2WD, Mazda CX-30 SkyActiv-G 2.0L High 2WD and the Mazda CX-30 SkyActiv-D 1.8L Diesel High 2WD. The specifications were similar with the details that were released during the booking announcement.

Powered by the SkyActiv-G 2.0-litre double overhead cam (DOHC) 16-valve 4-cylinder with VVT petrol engine, the CX-30 SkyActiv-G 2.0L 2WD and CX-30 SkyActiv-G 2.0L High 2WD generates 163 hp at 6,000 rpm and 213 Nm of torque from 4,000 rpm. The top speed is rated at 196 kph.

At the heart of the CX-30 SkyActiv-D 1.8L Diesel High 2WD houses the 1.8-litre DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder with VVT diesel engine that produces 114 hp at 4,000 rpm and 270 Nm of torque from 1,600 to 2700 rpm, with a top speed of 183 kph. All variants are mated with the SkyActiv-Drive 6-speed automatic with manual shift mode transmission.

Measuring in at a length of 4,395 mm, a width of 1,795 mm, a height of 1,540 mm and a wheelbase of 2,655 mm. The CX-30 weighs about 1,400 kg to 1,500 kg, depending on its model. It has 51 litres of fuel tank capacity and 420 litres of boot space.

Its standard equipment includes LED auto headlamps, rain sensing wipers, powered adjustable and folding side mirrors with turn signals, powered sunroof, push-to-start button, electronic parking brake, multi-function leather steering wheel with tilt and telescopic adjustments, one-touch power window, sunglasses holder, rear spoiler, 8.8-inch full colour infotainment system with Android auto and Apple Carplay ready, Mazda connect Infotainment system with voice command, cruise control and reverse camera.

The entry level CX-30 SkyActiv-G 2.0L 2WD features 16-inch alloy wheels, silver dashboard trims, manual adjusted driver seats, fabric seats and manual adjusted climate control.

As for the CX-30 SkyActiv-G 2.0 High and CX-30 SkyActiv-D 1.8 High, both are fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps with signature illumination function, LED combination taillights, Mazda Advance keyless entry, powered tailgate, frameless auto-dimming rear view mirror, bright dashboard trims, parking sensors, dual-zone auto climate control, leather seats, rear-air-vents and 10-way powered adjusted driver seat with memory function.

The standard safety features include six SRS airbags,  anti-lock braking system, dynamic stability control, electronic brakeforce distribution emergency brake assist, traction control system, emergency stop signal, hill launch assist, auto hold function, auto door lock, seat-belt warning, engine-immobiliser anti-theft system and ISOFIX child seat anchor points.

Meanwhile, the CX-30 SkyActiv-G 2.0 High 2WD and CX-30 SkyActiv-D 1.8 High comes with the additional Mazda Advance Safety Technologies on board, which include features like the adaptive front-lighting system, high beam control, blind spot monitoring system, rear cross traffic alert, driver attention alert, smart brake support and the radar cruise control.

The fully-imported from Japan CX-30 colour line-up includes Soul Red Crystal, Machine Gray, Snowflake White Pearl, Deep Crystal Blue, Sonic Silver, Polymetal Gray, Titanium Flash and Jet Black.

In terms of the pricing, the entry level CX-30 is retailed at RM143,059, and the Mazda CX-30 SkyActiv-G 2.0 High 2WD carries a price tag of RM164,059. The range topping diesel variant is priced at RM172,943.60. All prices stated are on-the-road, without insurance and for West Malaysia private registered vehicles only.

All new Mazda vehicles registered from January 1, 2019 onwards, comes with the 5-Years manufacturer or 100,000 km which every comes first warranty and the 5-Years or 100,000km whichever comes first free maintenance (except Mazda BT-50) according to manufacturer’s standards inclusive of labour, parts and lubricants.
